In Materials Strength lab are performed destructive mechanical tests in materials in which is reguired to be checked the mechanical strength, the break stress, the yield stress, the percentage elongation.

The main representative categories of tests are:

  • Tensile tests in metallic and plastic specimens
  • Bending tests in metallic and plastic specimens
  • Impact tests in metallic and plastic spesimens
  • Compression tests in metallic and plastic spesimens
  • Hydraulic tests in vessels under pressure, pumps e.t.c.

The main kinds of materials to be checked in the lab are metals (welled or not), plastics ( poluamids,polyurethans,e.t.c.), asseccories of PPC nets Low Voltage, Medium Voltage, personal safety equipment, conductors and generally every material is checked by mechanical strength to loads from 10N to 1.000KN.
