In collaboration with the internationally recognized Company, CDRiA Pipeline Services Ltd., Swiss Approval now offers «Smart solutions in pipeline network inspection (Intelligent Services pigging)».
Our «intelligent pigging» services cover pipeline diameter range from 4" up to 48" and detection, location, classification and sizing of the following pipeline features and anomalies:
Geometry In-Line Inspection
- mechanical deformations of the pipeline (bulges, dents, wrinkles, ovalities)
- construction anomalies (diameter reduction at girth welds, non-coaxial joints)
- pipeline construction elements (pipe joints, valves, tees and other installations)
Ultrasonic Metal Loss in-Line Ispection
Internal and external metal losses including corrosion and manufacturing defects:
- material anomalies such as laminations and non-metallic inclusions
- geometrical defects (dents, bulges, wrinkles, ovalities)
- installations (welds, valves, tees, taps)
- pipeline repairs (patches, sleeves)
Reporting
Results of the completed pipeline inspection are presented in a Final Inspection Report that provides:
- a list of pipeline joints describing length, nominal wall-thickness and circumferential orientation of the longitudinal weld
- classification, size and location details of pipeline installations (valves, tees etc.)
- a list of detected anomalies with size and location details
- graphic displays and individual feature sheets for the most severe anomalies
- statistical presentations (including histograms and distributions)
- MAOP analysis results for metal loss features
- recommendations regarding future maintenance of the pipeline
CDRiA Inspection Reports fully comply with the latest POF recommendations and may be adjusted to the individual needs of the pipeline operator. All reported pipeline features (joints, anomalies etc.) have individually calculated XYZ geodetic coordinates and, therefore, may be easily located in the field.
Swiss Approval International, based on the above mentioned report, issue an Inspection Integrity Certificate, giving to the Oil and Gas Industry Customers, a strong competitive advantage in respect of international insurance requirements and standard practice.
